    What the law actually says

    • Under the National Environmental Management: Waste Act 59 of 2008 you have a duty of care to make sure building waste is handled, transported and disposed of lawfully. Keeping a written record of what waste left site, when, and where it went is your proof you met that duty if a dumping complaint is ever traced back to you.
