    Construction Regulation 16 of the Construction Regulations 2014 (under the Occupational Health and Safety Act 85 of 1993) requires scaffolding to be inspected by a competent person before use, after any alteration or event affecting its stability, and at intervals not exceeding 7 days. Records must be kept on site and retained for at least 3 months.
