What the law actually says
- •The CIDB Act 38 of 2000 requires registration to tender for public-sector construction works.
- •The Housing Consumers Protection Measures Act 95 of 1998 requires every homebuilder to register with the NHBRC and enrol every new home.
- •The Electrical Installation Regulations 2009 (under OHS Act 85 of 1993) reserve issue of an Electrical CoC to a DEL Registered Person.
